Sunie joined the Pallant team in May 2024, and is very keen to start taking prosthodontic and restorative referrals from both patients and dentists directly.

1) Implants

1) Implants

If you are looking for a permanent solution to missing teeth, dental implants could be the answer. At Pallant Orthodontics, we provide durable implants to help you restore your smile to its former glory. If you have a missing tooth or need to have a tooth pulled, a dental implant could be a good option for you. You simply need to have the proper jaw bone density and gum health to support your new implant.

During your consultation, we will let you know if an implant is the best solution for your smile.

Dental implants are used to permanently replace missing or damaged teeth. Instead of attaching to neighbouring teeth like a dental bridge, implants are fused directly into your jawbone for a sturdy, long-lasting fit.

As easy as 1,2,3…

1. Placement

During your first implant appointment, we will place you under anaesthesia so we can surgically insert a metal implant into your jawbone. This process is very quick, and you won’t need any downtime. You’ll just need to give your jaw some time to heal and stabilise the implant.

2. Abutment Installation

Once the implant has fully healed (usually after 3 to 6 months), we will schedule another appointment to install a post called an abutment into your implant.

3. Restoration

At your final appointment, we will secure your custom crown to your implant so that you will have a beautiful, full smile again!

2) Dental Bridges

2) Dental Bridges

A dental bridge uses crowns or filler teeth to fill in the gap left by one or more missing teeth. If you don’t use a dental bridge, your nearby teeth can move into the empty space left by your missing ones and create bite problems.

3) Crowns

3) Crowns

A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cap that is custom-made for your smile. The crown is placed over a tooth to strengthen it or to enhance its colour or shape.

4) Dentures

4) Dentures

Dentures are designed to replace missing teeth and can be used for example, to replace two or three teeth which are sat side by side, or they can also be used as a full denture, designed to replace the entire upper or lower row of teeth.

Dentures are made of metal or plastic acrylic, and can be carefully coloured to match your existing teeth. Dentures are custom-fit to ensure functionality. Dentures have the added benefit in that they offer replacement support to cheeks, lips, and tongue which restores the wearer’s former appearance and aids in clear speech.
